Cory Hill and Ellis Jenkins have been named as co-captains for Wales’ Tests against South Africa and Argentina, while Tomos Williams is the only uncapped player included in a 31-man squad.
Alun Wyn Jones has been rested for the trip to Washington DC to face the Springboks and two Tests against the Pumas next month.
Hill and Jenkins will share leadership duties in the absence of the British and Irish Lions lock.
Cardiff Blues scrum-half Williams will be hoping to win his first cap after getting the nod from head coach Warren Gatland for the tour.
Luke Charteris comes back into the squad, with George North and Ross Moriarty the only two Lions to be selected.
