Olding signs for Brive following Ulster release
Brive have announced the signing of Stuart Olding, who was released by Ulster last month despite his acquittal in a rape trial.
Following his release by Ulster, Stuart Olding has signed for French side Brive on a two-year deal.
Olding and fellow former Ireland international Paddy Jackson both saw their national and club contracts cancelled last month despite being acquitted of rape charges.
Their Ulster team-mates expressed “sadness” at the pair’s departure, before Sale Sharks rejected reports that they were considering bringing the duo to the AJ Bell Stadium.
On Monday, it was confirmed that Olding will join Brive, who were relegated at the end of 2017-18 after finishing bottom of the Top 14.
