Pollard at 10 as Boks show 10 changes

Handre Pollard starts at flyhalf for the Springboks and Duane Vermeulen is No 8. But still Damien de Allende still makes the match 23.

Springbok coach Allister Coetzee made 10 changes to the Springboks who suffered a 38-3 beating against Ireland in Dublin, but De Allende, who was dismal against Ireland again found a way into the match day group.

De Allende started against Ireland at inside centre, but this time he will wear the No 23 jersey. Cheetahs captain Francois Venter starts at No 12.

Pollard replaces Elton Jantjies, who has been named among the substitutes.

Pollard starts a Test for the Springboks for the first time since the 2015 World Cup third and fourth play-off match against the Pumas.

Vermeulen also start for the first time since the 2015 World Cup.

Coetzee has again picked the same back three that were awful under the high ball against Ireland.
