Rugby World Cup 2019: Looks like Ben’s off to Japan – Sale give Curry’s twin green light for final
Ben Curry will get his wish of going to support twin brother Tom in England’s World Cup final showdown with South Africa in Japan after their club Sale Sharks gave the green light.
Tom Curry has been a star performer for Eddie Jones’ side on the road to the final and was named man of the match after the 40-16 demolition of Australian in the quarter-finals.
The twins play their domestic rugby for Premiership outfit Sale, although Ben will be excused from duty when they face Bristol on Friday after a successful social media campaign.
Using the #GetBenToJapan hashtag, Sale told their Twitter followers they would fly Ben Curry to Japan if they were given 200 retweets.
That number was easily passed and Sale tweeted: “Looks like @BenCurry98 is off to Japan.”

The England team’s official account commended Sale for a “lovely gesture”.
Ben Curry, a flanker like his brother, is a former England Under-20 international and was called up to the senior tour of Argentina in 2017 without making an appearance.
