Sarries captain Barritt to undergo surgery on facial injury
Brad Barritt will go under the knife this week after taking a boot to the face in Sarries’ emphatic win over Bath.
Captain Brad Barritt will undergo surgery after suffering a facial injury during Saracens’ record-breaking Premiership win over Bath on Saturday.
The former England centre was caught by a boot in a tackle during the first half of a 50-27 rout at Allianz Park.
Barritt played no further part in a record fifth successive maximum-point haul for the champions.
The 32-year-old skipper will go under the knife this week, ruling him out of the derby at Harlequins on Saturday.
Sarries are top of the table following a perfect start to the season, with Exeter Chiefs only a point behind them.
