Volmink bags treble as Cheetahs maul Ulster
Ulster suffered a hammering in Bloemfontein, where wing Anthony Volmink scored three of nine tries for the Cheetahs.
Anthony Volmink helped himself to a hat-trick as the Cheetahs hammered Ulster 63-26, while Munster and Edinburgh also made it two Pro14 wins out of two on Saturday.
Ulster scored nine tries in a Conference A rout in Bloemfontein, wing Volmink completing his treble early in the second half after crossing twice in the opening 40 minutes.
The Cheetahs held a commanding 28-7 advantage at the break after Rhyno Smith and Joseph Dweba also touched down.
Smith went over again five minutes into the second half, while Louis Fouche and Reinach Venter touched down before the home side were awarded a late penalty try. Ruan Pienaar scored 12 points from the tee against his former club.
