Wisemantel links up with England as attack consultant
Experienced Australian Scott Wisemantel has been appointed as an attack consultant for England’s tour of South Africa.
Eddie Jones this week revealed that he has turned to a familiar face to work with the backs after his side’s Six Nations failure and an announcement would be made in the near future.
Wisemantel, who worked with his compatriot Jones during his time in charge of Japan and Australia, is the man who will join the England coaching staff for a three-match series against the Springboks next month.
“He’s a very good coach, he coached with me with the Wallabies and with Japan,” said England head coach Jones.
“He has done Super Rugby with the Waratahs, coached successfully in Europe with Lyon and Montpellier, has a wealth of experience, great energy and I think he’ll just add a little bit for this tour.
“I talk to him all of the time, we’re constantly in dialogue – whenever he’s available I want to use him.”
